Commercial Ventilation Systems

Wake up to a dry and healthy home with ventilation systems from Ambient Electrical

Ambient Electrical are leading experts in ventilation solutions and offer professional advice in selecting the right system based on your home’s needs. We operate out of Hamilton and service the wider Waikato.

There are two types of ventilation systems; balanced air and positive pressure, and while both types of ventilation systems are designed to prevent condensation, minimising mould, and mildew, and drying the home they do have their differences. Our experienced team can help advise on what system best suits your needs.

Commercial Ventilation Systems

Positive Pressure

The positive pressure ventilation system pulls the air from the ceiling cavity and gently introduces the filtered air into the home forcing the stale moist air out through gaps within the home. Some systems also allow additional add ons.

Summer kit: pulls the air from the outside rather the hot air in the ceiling in the summer season.

Heat Transfer kit: transfers the heat from the room the heat source is located and redistributes the heat into the other rooms vents are positioned.

Balanced Air

The balanced air ventilation system pulls the fresh air from outside at the same time pulling the stale moist air from within the home and passing through an exchange system recovering up to 90% of the energy pulled from within the home. The fresh filtered air is gently introduced into the home along with recovered energy.

Benefits of a Ventilation System

  • Fresh filtered air into the home all year round in all seasons and weather
  • Prevents and minimises mould and mildew helping with health benefits to occupants
  • Helps to save energy costs on heating providing a drier home
  • Home security with the ability of keeping doors and windows closed and locked, while a ventilation system introduces air flow

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your installations compliant with the new Healthy Homes Standard?

Yes they are! It’s important we do a site visit on consultation to ensure our recommendations ensure complete compliance.

How do I know what brand to choose?

We only install brands we trust as it would cost us more to service and replace faulty units. We can help you select the correct brand and type based on your house, budget, and needs. Contact our team for a FREE quote where they can recommend the perfect unit for you based on your needs.

How many outlet vents will I need?
We recommend that each bedroom has an individual outlet vent, along with one vent per main room, such as one for a living and dining room each, or one vent for a combined lounge/dining; our qualified team will ensure the best results. We don’t recommend vents in the kitchen or bathrooms, as an extractor fan should be used to remove the moisture.
